SAMA is a pop electronic trio originate in 2014 by former classmates Francesco Samarelli as SAM (vocals), Francesco Tedeschi as TED (drums & programming) and Leonardo Fasciano as LEO (guitars). The band quickly established their emotive, mid-tempo sound, blending pitch-shifted vocals and warm, rolling beats. An original pop garage mixed between guitar loop and a special soul voice. Sama means literally ‘listening’ in Arabic and Persian, connecting to a practice of listening to music and chanting to reinforce ecstasy. The ritual of SAMA represents a journey of man’s spiritual ascent through mind and love to perfection. Turning towards the truth, the follower grows through love, deserts his ego, finds the truth and arrives at perfection. That is what they are doing with their music, finding a special soft dance sound, coming from the heart to the mind. Working tirelessly in their selfbuilt studio, SAMA’s first single is called ‘A LOVE LIKE KEROSENE’ (2015). The track mastered by Stuart Hawkes (Disclosure, Rudimental, Alex Clare, Lorde) received approvals from high profile U.S., Italian and UK’s music press releases. In May 2016 they arrived to the finals for Sziget & Sound Home Festival of Budapest. On Nov 11 was released ‘WHAT LOVE IS ALL ABOUT’ mixed and mastered by Galatis at Matrix Complex in London. They celebrated the release with a London mini tour. "What Love Is All About" remix by Jake Alder out via One More Lab on April 21, 2017!
